Anyone know where these are? In Linux it's '/usr/share/apps/switchdesk/' with files starting with 'Xcleints' like 'Xclients.kde' and 'Xclients.fluxbox'. I don't even see where KDM gets it's configuration from, as my '/usr/X11' only has 'XF86Config', and couldn't find anything in '/usr/X11R6'. Guess I'll check there some more.

Well I found the xdm file Xsession in '/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xdm'. Looks like I'm going to have to hack it up a bit do do what I want it to. Doesn't have the multiple startup options in it. I'll change that quick. :D

If you're looking at xdm, you might want to look at the xv program to setup a nice background.
I use it on my FBSD workstations. /usr/ports/graphics/xv

here's a couple of usefuls links that I've used in the past to configure xdm.
You may of already seen these but I thought I'd post them. The daemon news article goes into xdm customizing. It covers the xv setup as well. A couple of good reads for sure.
