Hello everyone.
Ok, I just received a brand new 8 port KVM switch from Belkin. It is the Pro series. They even gave me the gold plated cables.
However, im having a problem. The screens seem a bit blurry when I plug all the cables in and turn on the computer.
Any ideas on what I can do? I'm not exactly sure why it's blurry. I double checked all the connections and they are all solid connections.
Anyone else have a simliar problem? If so, what did you do to fix it?
Thanks.

i've got a old crappy ass KVM w/ blown out mouse ports but dont seem to have any bluryness issues... perhaps try changing your refresh rates?

How long are the video cables? Are they shielded well? The shielding will matter more than the gold plating. Do the cables run close to anything that emits a strong em field, like speakers?
There's a gaming place in town which runs its video signals 50 feet, but they use $60 well shielded cables. I can't get 12 feet out of two cheap 6 foot cables.
Also, have you checked the monitor w/o the kvm? Maybe it's gone bad.

The cables are 10ft long. I made sure there are no speakers around.
Whats interesting is that I had a little old 2 port KVM switch that I was using until I got a bigger KVM, and it worked fine. No problems at all. The cables were 6ft cables and there was no fuzzyness at all.
The monitor checks out ok. If i plug the monitor directly into either box, it comes out perfectly clear...
Im not sure what the heck it is.
Could it be the cables are not shielded well enough?
It drove me crazy, so I went back to the other KVM. However, I do need to figure this out because im going to have 6 boxes connected to this KVM in my office. :)

If all the ends are right, try using the new cables with the old kvm, or the old cables with the new kvm.
