I am hunting for something that works like ht:dig, but is more oriented for plain text.
I once used a Linux distro that, by default, installed and setup ht:dig to index reference documentation on the system -- primarily HTML files -- HOWTOs, packaged tutorials, etc. I am looking for an indexer for plain text. I have a really large collection of article-length stuff. Right now, it's less than 200MB of files, but I expect it to continue growing. I visited Freshmeat but the array of stuff was a bit bewildering.
Anybody here use or know of something like this that they felt worked well?
