Hey ya'll. I'm setting up 5.2 Release on my dedicated Samba box after Mnadrake lost all of my files on my second disk during a power failure. My wife had her Microsoft Money backups on their and i had my Mac dmg files on there and after the power failure there was nada. I was using ext3 so it's a bit surprising.
Anyway, I have the box and up and running and I'm trying to start swat to share my HP Laserjet for my LAN. I've edited /etc/services and /etc/inetd.conf file as found on Google. Still can't login to it and setup that printer. By the way, I'm using CUPS. I can't find swat in /usr/ports. What am I missing here?

From swat's man page.

swat Samba Web Administration Tool

swat [-s <smb config file>] [-a]

This tool is part of the Samba(7) suite.

swat allows a Samba administrator to configure the complex smb.conf(5) file via a Web browser. In addition, a swat configuration page has help links to all the configurable options in the smb.conf file allowing an administrator to easily look up the effects of any change.

swat is run from inetd

It appears that swat is part of the samba suite, and should be installed along with samba. If you have any problems try posting the error below.

Just to double check I downloaded samba-3.* and sure enough swat is in there.
