I wanted to ask some questions here about Horde. I know quite a few people here use Horde at their sites.
Reading through the docs, I see that it has quite a bit of dependency's in order to install it: apache and PHP (obviously) python as well as a slew of others. I also read somewhere that apache needs to be compiled with support for DSO.
With that in mind, I was going to compile apache and mod_ssl by hand, to get a few things in particular that im looking for. Basically, I want only secure connections to my web mail server that originate outside of my internal network. Did some research and found that apache+mod_ssl is what i want.
I know there is a port for apache and mod_ssl but i'm not sure if I want to use that port, or if I want to compile it by hand.
So, as for horde...just to verify:
1.) It does need DSO compiled into apache?
2.) Any other suggestions for horde?
I appreciate it.
