i need help configuring my webserver i have a broadband conection with the newest version of apache ne who i got my webserver configured with redhatlinux 9 and front page extensions 2002 my website is all started and working excellent i need to know how i can access it through a name such as www.yahoo.com instead of http://24.119.222.188 which is my ip i was told i need to configure dns but i dont know how ive used no-ip.com but i dont wanna pay or have anything before it id like my webpage to be accsessed through www.AAC.com or sumthing like that if someone could please help me thatd be great

Check out ZoneEdit. They let you have 5 domains pointed to whereever you want for Free. I have never had a problem with them, and own 4 domains.

Zone Edit is great but you will still need to register a domain. There's a ton of registrars out there that can get you hooked up for under $10/year. If that's still to much then you will need to resign yourself to the fact that your address is username.no-ip.com. :wink:
If you are just setting up one website then the default apache install will be fine. You need to read up on virtual domains if you want to do more subdomains.
