If you have any ideas for polls you'd like to see us run please post those ideas in this thread.

Poll ideas should contain the poll question (obviously), and a list of possible choices, max number of choices is 10. Since we're a BSD site, choices should be somehow related (even if only obscurely) to BSD.

Thanks a lot!.

I'm thinking a nice poll on window manager/desktop setups would be nice.

How about:

"Where I use BSD the most"

1. Server
2. Desktop
3. Firewall
4. Bridge
5. Web Server
6. Edge Router
7. All of the above
8. Other

Taking off on Molo's post.

I think BSD should be ported to:

HAL (2001)
LCARS (Star Trek)
Orac (Blake's 7)
Andromeda (Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda)
Marvin (HHGTTG) (Brain the size of a planet should be able to build packages really fast)
etc.

I'm thinking about this for the next one:

How many computers are you using (i.e. not in the closet unless it's actually running in there)?

Maybe there should be an option with CowboyNeal in the closet with an abacus? :silly: Just kidding on that.

Keep the ideas coming. I'll try to keep the polls coming a little more frequently after I move and get settled a bit.

Worse possible tortures to inflict on SE members?

Making elmore use his wifes XP laptop at all times.
Feeding vlad a perfectly cooked medium rare filet mignon.
Forcing bsdjunkie to drink PBR.
Ensure that strog never uses another non-wintel architecture machine ever again.

Forcing KK to use "simple" ideas for all his projects.
Making opus watch a Sci-Fi Anime Movie (at least 3 hours long).
