anyone here know the correct syntax to use smblcient to send a message to a windows XP user? The user is on a different subnet as well as a different workgroup/doamin than the samba server.

I have been trying:

echo "Gary its me from the UNIX side" | /usr/local/samba/bin/smbclient -M geaton

echo "Gary its me from the UNIX side" | /usr/local/samba/bin/smbclient -M geaton -I 10.x.x.x
