Hi all,

I'm trying to install NTP on a newly setup OpenBSD 3.7 machine but whether I use a local copy of the packages or direct from ftp.openbsd.org I get the following error message :-

Unknown element: @wantlib c.34.2

Anyone got any clues as to what could be causing this?

uh.. NTP is installed by default on every current OpenBSD box...

OpenBSD has OpenNTP in the base which is an implementation of the NTP protocol. It can keep a clock within 50-100ms and that is plenty accurate for most people. OpenNTPd is quickly improving and will continue to become more accurate.

The official NTP clients are still available in ports for those who need even higher precision.
