Greetings All......I have a quick question that I hope has a similar solution:

I am running NetBSD 5.0 (final) on a Toshiba Satellite M115 with a Centrino Duo processor @1.6GHz with an 80GB hdd.

As most of you know, NetBSD 5 went to Xorg, leaving XFree86 for all previous versions. I CANNOT GET MY MOUSE TO WORK (caps for focus). I use

Xorg -configure (as root) and the mouse moves, as does the finger scroll, however when I enter as a regular user, go into a startx session, my mouse does not work.

I am far from a genius with the BSD's, but don't understand why the mouse will work as root and not as a regular user. BTW, I am using FVWM as my wm of choice (even though I am testing in a standard X sessiion).

All replies appreciated. Thanks, folks!

I believe that running Xorg -configure will just place the configuration file in the /root directory. Copy that file to /etc/X11/xorg.conf for every user to use.
