Anyone know of a good NIDS based application for Linux/UNIX? Wanting to setup an active one, since I'm not around all the time.

i like snort w/ mysql support and a acid frontend

I guess this could be considered "piling on", but snort is the way to go...

Nothing else compares.

Took a look at the snort page. Looks like a great app! Thanx all! One more thing to add to the list "of things to do while I have time". :D
