So in the topic for this forum, when you guys say "ports" you are not meaning the NetBSD ports. In NetBSD lingo, a port means the porting of the OS to a different architecture, where as pkgsrc refers to the system of downloading and compiling source code to install applications .....

You got it! We don't exactly have a high number of NetBSDers here so I guess no one caught that :roll:

We've been anxious to up our NetBSD content so post away!!!!

exactly as minion put it, we don't have a lot of NetBSD users so ports typically = pkgsrc in NetBSD
