Alright, people, I've got a question for ya! Which BSD has the best support for DEC Alpha based computers? I want to set up a simple web/mp3 server that will only be accessible on my home lan. Any suggestions? I am looking primarily for stability though security is a good deal (I might eventually use it as a firewall between the internet and the other computers).

Cheers

Given your goals stryder your obvious choice should be OpenBSD.

great support for the Alpha platform

Super secure

Makes a great firewall

3.3 has an iso image of disc 4 on the ftp site, disk 4 is the alpha platform.

Good Luck, let us know how it all turns out! ;)

Thanks. Once the crackheads get my SDSL connection up and running I'll download disc 4 and fill everyone in.
