being an open-source enthusiast, so TSS has decided it's time to show all
the penguinheads out there some love. On tonight's episode of "The Screen
Savers" we'll be welcoming open-sourcers with open arms. There's a double
dip of Linux and FreeBSD goodness coming your way.

First, Linux isn't the only open-source tree in the operating-system forest.
No sir. On today's show Linux Journal Editor In Chief Don Marti, FreeBSD
release engineer Murray Stokely, Offmyserver CTO Matt Oleander, and Damage
Studios co-founder and former Slashdot editor Chris DiBona will put Linux
and FreeBSD to the test. Tune in to find out which of the two operating
systems will win over the most hearts.


This will be interesting to see how it is done and managed.

i have really tried to watch that show...but m$ is so far up their ass, it makes me sick. plus, half the time, they don't even know what the **ck they're talking about. makes me sick i tell you. with half the bandwidth, a quarter of the viewers, and a tenth of the time slot, we could put on a better show then them.

It was ok, as I figured not much was covered. They were trying to do a side by side comparison to installing Linux and FreeBSD. Since the linux guy was installing SuSe it obviously took him longer. For those of you who missed it, you did not miss much.

In case you guys are interested. Here is both segments done on freebsd on techtv. First one was just an intro a couple of months ago. Second one is the linux v.s. freebsd unfotunately the audio is not really synced up well and it gets worse over time. I included the the pages they originate from on offmyserver.com. Enjoy
